The Spring 2008 edition of Edible Chesapeake is out. You can pick up a copy (for FREE) at the Common Market. Has an interesting article on clams that makes me want to make some clam chowder or pasta with clam sauce. Anybody got any decent recipes?

I just wanted to share with you a great magazine that I recently discovered. It’s called Edible Chesapeake. From their website:
“Edible Chesapeake is a quarterly publication that celebrates the abundance of local and seasonal foods in the Chesapeake watershed. We celebrate family farmers, fishermen, food artisans, chefs, and other food-related businesses, as well as the consumers, home cooks and restaurant-goers who support them.”
Check out their website and their magazine. It had a lot great information of interest to local foodies. It was also interesting to see that this is part of a national community of these magazines. It is published quarterly so I look forward to the winter 2007 edition. I heartily recommend tracking down a copy or subscribing.
